Information on holothuroid systematics is widely dispersed, frequently in difficult-to-obtain sources published over the last 250 years. Hence, a primary goal of the project is to compile and make available in print and online all nomina within the Aspidochirotida along with their original descriptions.

Diagnoses of supraspecific taxa An annotated catalogue of supraspecific taxa within Holothuroidea, providing diagnoses and estimated numbers of subsumed taxa compiled from the literature to 1981.

Species descriptions of the Aspidochirotida A compendium of comprehensive original descriptions for species comprising the Holothuriidae and Stichopodidae, plus phylogenetically allied taxa from the Synallactidae. Includes synonymies, combinations, decisions about validity, type designations, etc.
