Dendrochirote holothurians of medium size with 20 tentacles in two circles (15+5) and regularly distributed podia. The calcareous ring made up of 10 compact pieces the radialia bear short forked tails. The calcareous bodies are remodeled with thorny rods in the middle and on the two ends. (Heding & Panning, 1954)

Medium-sized dendrochirotid holothurians with 20 tentacles in two circles (15+5). Pedicels scattered more or less evenly in both ambulacra and interambulacra. Calcareous ring compact, radials with short paired processes. Body wall spicules in the form of spinous rods accompanied by rosette-like miliary granules, spinous crosses or plates; tables present in ventral body wall or pedicels of juvenile.
