Myriotrochidae

Östergren, 1898

7 Genera, 2 monotypic; 36 species

Tentacles digitate, much as in Chiridota, but weaker, with 2-8 digits on each side. Cartilaginous ring, light detecting, gustatory organs, and true ciliated funnels wanting. Polian vesicle and stone canal single. Calcareous deposits in the form of wheels, always with 6 or more spokes and never collected into wheel papillae. Other deposits rare. Sexes separate, size small. Diagnosis: Deposits of body wheels with many spokes, no sigmoid bodies. (Mortensen, 1927)
