Mesothuria (Diplasiothuria)

Heding, 1942

2 species

Body cylindrical or sub-cylindrical, with pedicels all over. Deposits of tube feet reduced tables. Tables normally quadriradiate, though triradiate to septemradiate tables may occur. Two layers of deposits in the body wall, an outer layer of normal tables and an inner layer of rods and irrregular bodies. From Key. (Heding, 1942)

* No type species is given; roul(e)i is listed first (Heding 1942). If Deichmann is correct that Holothuria roulei is a synonym for Mesothuria verrilli, then what. A similar problem may exist with Molpadiodemas. (Heding, 1942)
