Tentacles 10, 2 ventral tentacles smaller. Calcareous ring with undulating posterior margin, lacking posterior projections. Body wall thick, brittle, packed with ossicles. Ventral radii with tube feet in zigzag rows, dorsal radii with single rows of widely spaced feet; smaller feet scattered in dorsal and ventral interradii. Ventro-lateral and dorsal papillae present or absent. Ossicles lenticular plates or scales, knobbed buttons and deep complex cups. (Rowe & Pawson, 1985)
