| | Holothuria (Semperothuria)Deichmann, 1958 6 species Slender forms, cylindrical to flask shaped, of moderate size, to 15 cm rarely 20 cm with 20 small terminal tentacles and feet in five scattered bands, cylindrical on ventrum, more papilliform on dorsum. Cuvierian organs well developed. Spicules in a crowded layer of tables normally lacking the disc completely and with the tip of the spire ending in a few large teeth, forming a single or double Maltese cross, Rarely a few tables present with 4 upwardly directed spines or with a complete disc, with smooth or spinous margin. In some species an inner layer present in the form of scattered large flat bars with dentate edges or a series of large lateral holes. Ventral feet with large end plates, often surrounded by a number of perforate oval plates; numerous supporting rods in the walls. Dorsal papillae with reduced end plate and usually curved supporting rods. (Deichmann, 1958) Tentacles 20; pedicels more or less distinctly arranged in three rows on the ventral side, papillae scattered dorsally; body wall soft, not very thick (about 2 (1-4) mm; size moderate up to 150 (rarely 200) mm; calcareous ring quite well developed, radial plates up to three times as long as interradials; spicules consisting of tables in combination with rods, the former with disc reduced to absent, spire high and terminating in a few spines which form a single or double maltese cross when viewed from above, rosettes never present.
