Dendrochirote holothurians of average size, fusiform, vaguely pentagonal in outline, integument rigid and rough. Tube feet ventral and dorsal in single file along each radius, more or less retractile, small, conical or nipple-like, without terminal sucker or calcareous disc. No interradial tube feet. Anus without teeth. Ten tentacles, with two ventro-medial smaller. Calcareous ring form not mosaic, with radials more or less longer made with five or six larger pieces. Ossicles in the skin, small baskets, stout nodules with four holes, and large plaques with bulky trellises, rods with enlarged and perforated ends. In the digitations and the trunk of the tentacles, long thick rods perforated all along their length and innumerable miliary (?) bodies in the introvert. (Cherbonnier, 1968)
