Deichmannia

Cherbonnier, 1957

1 species

Dendrochirote holothurians with an almost spherical body, the mouth and anus are very close to one another because of the shortening of the trivium. The body wall is thin, smooth. Dorsal tube feet infrequent, dispersed among the radii and interradii. The ventral tube feet in two series on each radius, a few interradial, all the feet end with a terminal cup and a calcareous disc. Ten tentacles, with two quite small. Calcareous ring with conspicuous caudal prolongations made of a single piece. Ossicles composed uniquely of small baskets. Tentacles have small batonne and wooly bodies. (Cherbonnier, 1957)
