Tentacles 10. Calcareous ring simple, low, without forked-tails, or at most medium high with short undivided forked tails. Radialia and under radialia undivided. In the skin plates and cups, no tables, no table-like constructions. The single important difference between the Colochirinae and the second portion of the subfamily Cucumariinae is the presence of cups in the Colochirinae and the lack of them in the Cucumariinae.
