Cladolabinae

Authority, Date

6 genera, 1 monotypic; 25 species

Dendrochirote holothurians having 15-20 tentacles in two or three circles 10+5, 10+10, or 10+5+5. The radialia of the calcareous rings have short to medium-length forked tails, which are in general undivided and built with the radialia. The radialia are formed of compact pieces. The forked tails can be divided into a few pieces. When they are divided, they are especially short and seem under-developed. Also the interradialia can show forked tails-like structure on the posterior end. Calcareous bodies have towers with two columns, or their derivatives, or plates and rosettes. (Heding & Panning, 1954)

Dendrochirotid holothurians with 15 or 20 tentacles arranged in two or three circles of 10+5, 10+10, or 10+5+5. Calcareous ring undivided; posterior paired processes of the radials usually entire, if broken into a series of elements then processes exceptionally short and spicules either in the form of spinous rods or large, lenticular, perforated plates. Type genus Cladolabes. (Thandar, 1989)
