| | CherbonnieraSibuet, 1974 1 species Tentacles 13 plain, club shaped, without lateral digits. Animals quite small in size; 2-6 mm long and 1-3 mm in diameter. Tentacular ampullae absent as is the hydorporic canal. One Polian vesicle present. Radial muscles are filiform, undivided. Pseudo-papillae present in the middle of the mid-ventral radius. Ossicles include towers with three open buckles at base; the towers are slender arrows formed from three columns joined closely at the base and terminating with three diverging points. Calcareous anal plaques are present. Calcareous ring with wing shaped radialia and bifurcating posteriorly directed projections as long as the radialia are wide. (Sibuet, 1974) |
