The genus resembles Pseudostichopus more than any of the elasipods, some aberrant forms of Molpadiidae also show relationship with this genus. (Ohshima, 1915)

Body more or less cylindrical, with no marginal fringe and no evident sole. Tube feet distributed all over the body but more densely arranged along the flanks. Deposits delicate tables with compound spires of 3 or more columns, and also scattered spicules. Anus ventral or subventral. (HBF)
