CAESIONIDAE (FUSILIERS)

SL: to 30 cm (photo: 10 cm SL, Saipan, 18 m)
This large fusilier is common in atoll lagoons in
the Marshall Islands but is relatively uncommon on seaward reefs
in the Mariana Islands. Juveniles occur singly or in small
groups; adults are usually in large roving schools at depths of
4 to over 30 m.
