SL: to 10 cm (photo: 9 cm SL, Gun Beach, 30 m)

This species is rare on Guam.  It occurs on outer reef slopes from 2 to at least 30 m and inhabits the same anemone species as A. chrysopterus.

INDO-PACIFIC: Persian Gulf to the New Hebrides, n. to s. Japan; s. to New Caledonia.
