CAESIONIDAE (FUSILIERS)

Fusiliers are closely related to snappers but have elongate, bullet-shaped bodies and small, more distensible mouths appropriate for a pelagic, plankton-feeding mode of life.  They characteristically travel in large schools in open water above the reef.
