Land side boundaries of the Marine Preserve were derived from a distant of 10 meters from the shoreline.

Process_Description:
GPS coordinates were taken at the markers for the boundaries of the marine preserve. The GPS data was tehn differnetially corrected and used as the nodes for the boundaries of the preserve. The Side Boundaries were derived directly by the statutory definintion. The marine boundaries were derived by digitizing the 100 fathom mark from the digital verion of the NOAA chart for Guam. The land boundaries were derived from creating a buffer 10m inland from the shorleine.
